History

I bought my TR3B from California in 2005. It was found in The California Valley (Desert)where it had been for 20 years plus. The owner was emigrating to Spain. Unbeknown to him, so was his car

After receiving the photographs of the car and all the parts, a deal was struck and I transferred the money to someone I had never met. As it turned out he was very honourable and stuck to his word, organised the shipping and all the paperwork from The US. For some reason the shipping company could not ship it to Spain so thought they would send it to Holland. As it turned out this worked in my favour as the import duties are much cheaper in Holland. I contacted a Dutch transport company who collected the car from the port and transported it to Spain. When I asked the agent in Holland what my new project looked like, he replied "you must be a brave man"
Approximately 8 weeks after I bought my car it arrived on a transporter which was too big for the street I lived in so it had to be pushed down the road. With no steering connected I had to constantly kick the front wheels until arriving home with my dream project. It was like Christmas Day.
